Introduction The Efficiency Testing Laboratory for Electric Machines and Transformers (AP4), inaugurated by Cepel in 1986, offers evaluation tests for the Brazilian Labeling Program (PBE) of induction motors and power transformers. The Laboratory has INMETRO accreditation (CRL 0024) for the following tests:
Induction motors:
Power Transformers:
Among the main customers of AP4 they are national and international manufacturers of induction motors and power transformers. To order tests in the AP4 laboratory, click on the "“Produtos / Ensaios”" tab.
The laboratory has the following infrastructure: • Maximum powers of 185 kVA three-phase with maximum voltages of 13,8 kV (60 Hz); • Substation with four variable sources from 50kVA up to 970kVA; • Test area consisting of six test bench motors from 0.12kW up to 185kW, and four test benches in distribution transformers up to 300kVA, fully enclosed and without air conditioning; • Measuring system with power analyzers, temperature, torque and speed measurement system and Kelvin Bridges.
The laboratory can meet the following standards: • IEC |
