Introduction The research line "Generation Expansion Planning" aims at developing methodologies and softwares for the Brazilian energy matrix projection studies. Other objectives are: expansion planning of interconnected power systems; long term demand forecast and hydropower inventory studies of river basins.
Among the projects and softwares developed under this line of research are: MATRIZ - Energy Matrix Projection Model, MELP - Long Term Generation Expansion Model, SINV - Hydropower Inventory Studies of River Basin, and PREVMERCADO - Demand Forecast). |
